Logan H. Babin, Jr. has been appraising property in South Louisiana for over 25 years. He is Louisiana Certified General Real Estate Appraiser #G0244.

Logan is a longtime member of the Counselor's of Real Estate (CRE), an international organization of real estate appraisers and counselors. Only 1,200 people worldwide have been selected to carry the highly regarded CRE designation. From 1987-88, he was the Editor of the CRE newsletter "The Counselor". And he was honored to serve as the organization's President from 1995-1996 and is a former member of the Board of Governors.

In 2008, Logan became a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) is the leading member organization in the world for professionals in property, land, real estate, construction and related environmental issues.

Launched in 1868 with headquarters in London, England, the institution was granted a royal charter to protect and serve the public interest. RICS provides impartial, authoritative advice on key issues affecting the public to businesses as well as governments and policy makers. RICS members operate in over 146 countries around the world and offer strategic advice on the economics, valuation, law, technology, finance and management of the world's physical assets - from major construction projects to commercial farmland to large investment portfolios.

Besides serving the international appraisal community, Logan has also been active serving the Louisiana appraisal community. He was appointed to the Louisiana Real Estate Appraisers Board of Certification in 1992 and served until 2003. During that time, he was Chairman of the Board from March 1997 through December 2002.

He is also a member of the International Right-of-Way Association.

Logan is an expert witness in the following courts: Terrebonne Parish District Court, Lafourche Parish District Court, Plaquemines Parish District Court, Orleans Parish District Court, Western District of Louisiana Bankruptcy Court, & Eastern District of Louisiana Bankruptcy Court.

Now Logan is passing his expertise and knowledge on to his son, Logan "Hank" Babin, III. Hank is Louisiana Certified General Real Estate Appraiser #G1147. He has spent the past 13 years learning the profession by his father's side. He has also traveled the country learning appraisal techniques in The Appraisal Institute's highly regarded national courses.

Hank is certified as an expert witness in Terrebonne Parish District Court and is a member of the International Right-of-Way Association.
